Welcome to Kathryn Howard's School of Dance
Kathryn Howard's School of Dance is conveniently located in the Roseburg downtown area near the library. The school has two studios, raised dance floors, mirrors, barres, viewing rooms for spectators, and dressing rooms.
In 1985, the school opened at the Umpqua Valley Art Center with about 40 enrollments. 2010 enrollments have grown to over 450, with qualified teachers instructing several styles.

We hope that you will join us in what promises to be a great year for dancing. As instructors at the Studio, we strive to transfer not only our knowledge of dance fundamentals and techniques – but the sheer joy of dance itself. Our Approach . . .
Kathryn Howard believes in a wholesome and holistic approach to dance. Dance is the vehicle for building not only artistry, poise, grace, coordination, and rhythm, but also self-esteem in children. As they see themselves accomplish goals through discipline and effort, they want to progress and "shine" in other areas of their life as well.
Classes are taught in a positive atmosphere where creativity is allowed to blossom along with technical skill and stylization. Kathryn feels that she is helping not only to develop dancers, but healthy, happy people.
