Rehearsal & Recital Information
Parent Volunteers
I now have a list on the bulletin board that has a place for you to sign up as a parent volunteer. Since there are 3 show dates most parents plan to assist for at least one of the shows. It seems to be the hardest to get help for the May/June show, so if you like helping please fill in for that show first. It is helpful to sign up for which one you want to do now. I need two parents for each class to help with entrances and exits of that class and to sit with their group during the show. Volunteers receive specific instructions at their class rehearsal time. Volunteers need to be in attendance for each of their class rehearsals and the whole performance. I also need 8 people per show to help sell tickets, take tickets at the door, and hand out programs. Volunteers and students do not need to buy a ticket for the show. Thank you for all your help.
What if I want to see both shows?
When you present your ticket at the door have your hand stamped and you'll be able to come back in the evening free of charge.
Costumes
The Costume that is used in the December Recital is also the one that you will use for the March Recital. You will or have received a different costume for the May recital.
All students should come dressed and ready for the first number that they are in on recital day as well as for the dress rehearsal. Costumes pieces are listed on this hand out. In all cases you would provide the tights and the shoes. Make sure you get the right color for your costumes as noted next to your rehearsal time.
Makeup and Hair
Please have hair pulled off the face and wear foundation, heavy blush and lipstick as well as eye makeup. All Make up should be extremely heavy or the faces fade out on stage. If your costume came with a hair scrunchy you may use it as a pony tail holder, a bun wrap, or pinned on as a rosette.
